The students in this class addressed community and economic development by developing a marketing plan for the identified community partner. The students analyzed the nedds, identified the target market, and worked with a marketing budget. The community partners in this project were Wisconsin Department of Commerce & the Bureau of Minority Business Development.

The students discovered that developing and implementing with an actual business can be stressful, yet rewarding. The other positive was the acknowledgment of the owners when they utilized the strategy that the class suggested.
